The State of My Crystal Ball

My job mixes a steady stream of long-term, ongoing projects with one-off documents various managers throw into my queue. For sure, I prefer the ongoing projects–projects I’m intimate and thus comfortable with–to the one-offs, but the shorties break the monotony of my work and challenge my mental agility. The major difference between the two endeavors, besides the turnaround time, is the requirements for each–or rather, how well documented the requirements are. For my long-term projects, I have specifications, use cases, marketing material–the usual plethora of information. For the one-offs I have…diddly.
